Careers - About the business

Men’s Legal Service was established in 2016 as a response to the observation that there was limited assistance available to men who were experiencing family law events.

Men's Legal Service (MLS) is a not-for-profit law firm established in 2016 which now has offices located around Australia.

Its mission is to make pragmatic, cost-effective legal services available at turning points in the lives of men and their families.

The primary focus is on assisting fathers to continue to be available and involved in the lives of their children after family law events.

The firm operates as a genuine not-for-profit firm acting for clients from start to finish in their matters without compromise.

Our mission is achieved through the following key actions:

MLS seeks to ensure that no one has to go through their family law matter alone and to provide support and legal services to those who must endure a family law dispute.

MLS endeavours to make systematic change and advocates for fairness in all regards, especially towards reducing the prejudice that men are subject to within the structures surrounding the family law.
